When we first started working with Talon Terra, we thought, It’s just dirt, right? But we quickly learned there’s a lot more to soil than meets the eye. Talon Terra produces high-quality soil and growing mixes for retail and wholesale markets, and these products are backed by decades of experience and expertise.
Referred via HubSpot, the Talon Terra team came to us without a website, just a brochure, and a strong industry reputation. Their goal was to modernize their brand and build a credible online presence. They didn’t just want to sell products but to tell their own story, establish trust with customers, and give retailers and growers a place to learn more about who they are and what makes their soil different.

Talon Terra didn’t have a website; it just had a logo and a dated brochure that had been doing the heavy lifting for years. Without a digital presence, their story was being told by third parties and retail partners, rather than by the brand itself. The challenge was to modernize their image, build credibility online, and create a central place where customers and distributors could learn about the company, explore its products, and see the full depth of what Talon Terra offers.

The Idea
Talon Terra needed a brand and website that reflected the same care and expertise they put into their products. We built on their existing logo, expanding the color palette and introducing typography that felt professional yet down-to-earth. With no brand system in place, we created one from the ground up (yes, pun intended), complete with guidelines they could easily use across future materials.
To strengthen their message, we used the StoryBrand framework to organize content and write copy that spoke directly to their audience. A clear, approachable story helped explain who Talon Terra is, what they do, and why their products matter. On the design side, we used imagery and layouts that showcased the full range of soil products without overwhelming buyers.
